From Drinks to Dessert: The Best Restaurants In Turlock, California

The Best Restaurants In Turlock, California

Heading out to Turlock, California for the weekend? Turlock California is one of the hidden gems that Californians know about, but many tourists do not. There’s great food, great hotels and most importantly great bars to try new drinks and meet new people! We even negotiated with Expedia to provide you with a hotel voucher code that you can use to save on your hotel booking to Turlock.

But first: the food: not sure where to make your pit stops to satiate those hunger pangs?

Well, here is a list of the best places to grab a bite in Turlock. Most of them are a hit with the locals and are sure to get on your list of favorites as well.

1. Dust Bowl Brewing Co. Brewery Taproom

First up, to quench your thirst, Turlock offers you with an endless supply of home-brewed beers. You will be left spoilt for choice. You are also going to find enough grease (in the proper amount) on the food menu, to help you balance out those beers that you’d chug down. From burgers to fish and chips, the place has all the bases covered. Dust Bowl is also rumoured to have the best fries in the area. Only one way to be sure of that! The ambience is classic with a contemporary touch. Bar tables and chairs, as well as outdoor seats are aplenty. Moreover, Dust Bowl is said to start tours of the brewery very soon as well, so you can not only taste your potion, but also witness it being made, with your own eyes.  Have a look.

2. Bistro 234

Next up, we have the local favorite for those lovely brunches. The interior of Bistro 234 has a lovely farm garden feel, with rustic long tables and chairs, adorned with flower pots hanging overhead. The bar at the Bistro is a burst of summery colours with yellow, green and blue tiles on the wall behind. Authentic bar stools add to the character of the menu. The salads here are a must try. The beet salad here is quite a refreshing taste and it has earned quite a name for itself. People have visited this quaint place from all over the country and the taste of the food here has never failed to pass the test of the taste buds.

3. Villa Napoli Restaurant

If freshly made from scratch is more your thing, then this place is just right for you. Villa Napoli is a family owned restaurant which caters to Turlock’s Italian cravings. The decor is perfect for your first date. The menu offers classic Italian dishes, churned out by the chefs on order, and no one can miss the burst of fresh flavour in the mouth.

4. Olde Tyme Pastries

Lastly, something to satiate your sweet tooth. Olde Tyme Pastries, as the name suggests, is renowned for the large assortment of cakes, cookies and sweet everything, that they have to offer. It is also a nice place to grab some lunch. The kids love Olde Tyme, for obvious reasons, but even the grown ups can indulge in one of their delicious pastry or eclairs, along with a sinful cup of mocha. One of my favourite things is to put on a good pair of headphones (check out this great breakdown of bose vs sennheiser) and enjoy some fabulous music along with my food and coffee.
